Space as performance
Sustainable. Creative. Successful.
The Heidelberg Congress Center sets new standards. We are re-positioning the City of Science Heidelberg as one of the leading international conference destinations. The metropolis on the Neckar wants to become a forward-looking provider of ideas - not only regionally, but also for globally operating companies and institutions. Groundbreaking inspiration meets creative exchange. With visionary architecture, spacious openness, state-of-the-art technology and with gold-awarded sustainability.
The visionary design promises maximum free space on three levels with a 6,600-square-meter dialog area and a flexible room concept. This includes the light-flooded large hall for up to 1,800 people with the world's third-largest LED wall, another flexible hall for 800 people, 10 meeting spaces, 2,600 square meters of foyer and Sky Forum with seating grandstand. A notable plus is the company's own TV studio for live streaming, recording and video production.
In addition, innovative gastronomy and perfect catering.
WLAN and 5G are mandatory.
Excellent accessibility: the Heidelberg Congress Center is located right next to the main station, has direct access to public transportation and the highway. Equipped with a two-story underground parking garage with 70 car-charging stations and 115 bicycle parking spaces including 50 charging stations.
The inspiring location: in the middle of Bahnstadt, Heidelberg's sustainable, colorful district. Here you can find numerous, individually suitable hotels of different categories. Or would you prefer a romantic overnight stay in the old town? No problem - everything in Heidelberg is within a short distance. Even the restaurants in the evening in a historic ambience, or the numerous bars that invite you to party in a young, student-exuberant atmosphere.
What we love: We bring people together, promote exchange and create a place of togetherness, synergies, networking. Successful meetings have never been so easy. Never so memorable. And never so sustainable.
When space becomes performance - that's when you're in Heidelberg.
From March 2024 - welcome to the Heidelberg Congress Center!
Wit and the next level need encouragement. Instead of blaming culture and perfectionism. Loser-slams, Fuckup Nights, fail awards. The start up scene is giving example. Some can’t keep up. Subtle video referees on professional football for example. Or strictly orthodox cineasts. This is what Hamburg ...
About doing and letting go
Decluttering. Standards, constraints, dependencies. Getting away from the exterior, interiorly. Detached from questioning how you come across, making an end to selfie-mania. Does this make us free? Reaching a peace of mind with the world. Kind of. Or does freedom need creation? Having spaces of acti...
Chatting with us: Florian Walter, architect of the Heidelberg Congress Center
Identifying developments, creating scenarios. And shaping them into a sustainable form. Sounds sporty. In a digital world where everything is possible and only few things last. Florian Walter from Degelo Architects in Basel about new liberties, human needs and the narrative power of space. An interv...
